Monday 15 April 2024 – Applications open.
Monday 3 June 2024 – Applications close. Applications submitted/emailed or post-marked after that date will not be considered.
Monday 8 July 2024 – All applicants will be advised of the selection panel’s decision after 8 July 2024. Please note that no correspondence will be entered into for feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
The Bursary Presentation will be held Saturday morning, 20th July 2024 at Women’s College, University of Queensland. We welcome the attendance of the successful recipient of each bursary to this function, where there will be the opportunity to meet your sponsor and other bursary recipients. The application will require your contact and education details, a Personal Statement and Referee contact details (as listed above). Please ensure you have all this information ready, as once you commence entering details into the application form, it cannot be saved or returned to later.
We understand that it may not be possible to submit your application using our online Bursary Application process. In special circumstances, we do offer a hard copy / printed version of the application for you to submit. IMPORTANT: Before commencing entering your details in the form below, take the time now to prepare your Personal Statement. We suggest you write it in MS Word first, ensuring it is no more than 300 words (some bursaries have a 350-500 word limit however). Ensure your Personal Statement addresses all the selection criteria (see above). You will also be able to upload your Word doc or a PDF when completing your online application. FYI, some bursaries may also require a copy of your curriculum vitae / resume uploaded as a pdf.
The application requires you to provide the contact details of two (2) references. One of these referees should be someone who knows you in a professional capacity – e.g. a teacher, community representative. Neither referee should be a family member or close friend.
Ensure you have ALL the information prepared and ready to enter into the form. If you have, then completing this online form will only take a few minutes.
If you find you cannot complete your application in one session, you are welcome to select the "Save and Resume Later" option at the bottom of the form. Once selected, your application form will be saved and a unique link created which you can access to resume your application. You have the option to enter your email address to receive the link via email. Alternately, you will be able to copy and save the link displayed. Please note, your unique link should not be shared and will expire in 30 days, afterwards your form entry will be deleted.
