  • Monday 12 April 2021 – Applications open.
  • Wednesday 2 June 2021 – Applications close. Applications submitted or post-marked after that date will not be considered.
  • Monday 12 July 2021 – All applicants will be advised of the selection panel’s decision after 12 July 2021. Please note that no correspondence will be entered into for feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
  • Tuesday 3 August 2021 (proposed) The Presentation of the bursaries in Brisbane – see here for updates

Helpful Hints Before You Start Filling Out The Form

  • Have All Required Information With You

    The application will require your contact and education details, a Personal Statement and Referee contact details (as listed above). Please ensure you have all this information ready, as once you commence entering details into the application form, it cannot be saved or returned to later.

  • What To Do If You Can't Submit Online

    We understand that it may not be possible to submit your application using our online Bursary Application process. In special circumstances, we do offer a hard copy / printed version of the application for you to submit. Please contact our Bursaries Program Manager, Kathy Cavanagh Ph: 0407 117 378 or Email: bursaries@ncwq.org.au to discuss your options.

  • Write Up Your Personal Statement First

    IMPORTANT: Before commencing entering your details in the form below, take the time now to prepare your Personal Statement. We suggest you write it in MS Word first, ensuring it is no more than 350 words (some bursaries have a 500 word limit however). Ensure your Personal Statement addresses all the selection criteria (see above). You will also be able to upload your Word doc or a PDF when completing your online application.

  • Secure Your Referees Contact Details

    The application requires you to provide the contact details of two (2) references. One of these referees should be someone who knows you in a professional capacity – e.g. a teacher, community representative. 

  • Allow Approx 15 Minutes to Complete The Form

    Ensure you have ALL the information prepared and ready to enter into the form. If you have, then completing this online form will only take a few minutes.

  • Note, There is No "Save and Return Later"

    You will need to complete this form in one go, there is no "Save and Return Later" facility to stop part the way through. If you Submit and have made a mistake, you will always be able to contact the Bursary Coordinator (details provided on submission).
