Thank you to everyone who joined us on 10 March 2022, as NCWQ and Soroptimist International Logan Inc hosted a joint International Women’s Day evening. What a gorgeous evening, a night we spent mingling with our members and friends, and highlighting some important topics.
The theme for the evening was women’s economic security through non-traditional pathways. We took this opportunity to kick-start NCWQ’s focus for 2022, which is to share and discuss alternative careers for women in our society.
We would like to send a huge thank you to our guest speaker, Senator Amanda Stoker, Assistant Minister for Women (pictured above). We were very honoured to have her join us to speak about her role and views on such powerful and important topics.
#BreakTheBias
On International Women’s Day 2022, we wanted to help #BreakTheBias. Let’s keep these open and honest discussions going about women’s roles in society, and open up non-traditional pathways for our women to embrace and be accepted into.
“Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women’s equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.”
