The Broken to Brilliant Bursary is to support female survivors of domestic violence in Queensland as they rebuild their lives through education and training. Valued at $1,500, this bursary provides financial assistance to help survivors access higher education or vocational training, fostering personal growth, self-sufficiency, and long-term stability. By investing in survivors’ education, we aim to empower them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to create their Brilliant future.
As a survivor-led charity, Broken to Brilliant’s mission is to support domestic violence survivors in their journey of healing and rebuilding by providing mentorship, community, and trauma-informed post-crisis programs. Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of abuse, and this bursary aligns with our goal of reducing the long-term impacts of domestic violence by equipping survivors with opportunities for professional and financial independence. By funding this bursary, we are helping survivors turn their experiences of hardship into strength, resilience, and success.
The value of the bursary is $1,500.
