As you may have seen in recent years, we have transitioned most of our ticket bookings for NCWQ events to the online booking platform “Humanitix”, and for several good reasons.
We chose Humanitix not only as a convenient way to manage our event ticketings, but because 100% of the profits that Humanitix makes goes to other charities. You can read more about their story and mission.
One of the wonderful charities that benefits from Humantix’s profits is “Room to Read”, which “seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.” Humanitix has shared the 2021 Impact Report from the Girls’ Education Program:
“During the pandemic, the transition from in-person to remote schooling increased pressure on girls to drop out of school, due to factors like household demands, economic concerns and child marriages. Our Girls’ Education Program took innovative approaches to reach more girls than ever before, including remote mentoring, use of TV and radio programs, virtual training for teachers, and using social media to inform and advocate. As schools reopened, a hybrid approach was taken incorporating in-person and remote elements to support dignified and inclusive learning for as many girls as possible, with impressive results.”
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket online in 2021!
You not only supported NCWQ, but also by paying the booking fees, you have contributed to this wonderful program to further the education of young girls around the world. This is such a worthy cause to get behind, and we are grateful for our members and friends embracing our move to online bookings via Humanitix.
We look forward to many more events, and contributing in our small way to the wonderful partner charities of Humanitix.
