The Lions Clubs of Warner and Samford are holding a caregivers event 31 August 2022 in Brisbane, Queensland.
A joint project of the Lions Clubs of Warner and Samford.
This free community event is designed to provide education, support and empowerment for those in a caregiving role in our community.
Caregivers can be an invaluable resource for individuals dealing with serious mental illnesses. By learning more about the illness it will be easier to provide the right kind of support and assistance.
As a carer, it’s important to ensure your own physical, social and emotional needs are met so you can cope better in times of extreme stress. This may be difficult at times and you may feel a range of emotions.
This event has been organised for information sharing between industry specialists and carers to provide a sense of hope, to discuss how everyone can work together and connect with others from similar backgrounds, furthermore, to provide information on support networks that are available in the Moreton Bay Region.
Further support and self-care education will be distributed through the wellness packs to all attendees.
Supper refreshments are provided free of charge.
Ample parking on site.
