In his opening speech at CSW67, Antonio Guterres lamented that “equality” between women and men in the world is an increasingly distant goal, achieved at best “in 300 years.” “Gender equality is getting further and further away”.
March 8: This is the day we pay tribute to all the strong, courageous and independent women around the world!
It is up to all of us, my ICW sisters, to work to ensure that March 8 is not our day to celebrate and that reality does not return on March 9.
All of us, together, let’s continue our path towards equality between women and men!
